Bottom's Up: Because Fun Should be Easy
OVERVIEW

Bottom’s Up is a web-based party game experience that includes three randomized drinking games with pre-loaded and user-generated questions. The site is designed to be simple, responsive, and entertaining—no thinking required, even inebriated.

Problem

In social gatherings, group momentum often dies when people can’t decide on a game or come up with engaging prompts. Partygoers want something fast, intuitive, and fun without the need for downloads or complicated setup.

Solution

I built a responsive web app using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript that hosts three prebuilt games with randomized question arrays and a feature for custom inputs. The visual language was inspired by early 2000s web aesthetics—nostalgic, colorful, bold—to give it both humor and personality.

Skills & Tools

Front-End Development — HTML/CSS layout and responsive design

JavaScript Logic — Custom arrays, question randomizer, DOM manipulation

UI Design — MTV-era visual styling, interactive prompts, bold type hierarchy

Performance & Accessibility — Optimized page loads, readable fonts, contrast compliance

Key Achievements

Fully functional site delivered in under 2 weeks

Game tested with 25+ users; zero drop-off during gameplay sessions

Load times kept under 2s across all devices

Positive feedback on UI clarity and humor during class showcase
